
From 1 st July 2018, Single Touch Payroll starts for employers with 20 or more employees. It is a
reporting change for employers. This means that employers will need to report directly to ATO from
their payroll solution at the same time they pay their employees’ salaries and wages, pay as you go
withholding and super.
Government announced that it will expand Single Touch Payroll for employers with 19 or less
employees from 1 st July 2019. This will be subject to Legislation being passed in parliament.
